Makerbot 3D Printers are user friendly 3D prototyping machines; perfect for education and introducing students to new innovative technology.

There are three models in the 5th generation series, the Mini, Replicator and Z18.

The Mini is Makerbot’s entry level 3D Printer, it is extremely easy to use with one touch button on the front to switch the machine on and off. The rest is controlled from the software; no levelling of the bed or settings to mess on with.

The Replicator is the most popular of the 5th generation series, with a LCD screen allowing more functionality and providing an on screen step by step guide through levelling the bed, loading and unloading filament.

The Z18 is the largest of the three with a higher, more vertical build area it also produces better quality smoother prints, so perfect for those looking for high quality finished prototypes and models.

So how does it work?

The creation of a 3D printed object is achieved using additive processes using filament. An object is created by laying down multiple layers of material until the object has been fabricated.

Makerbot Desktop – the driving software for the printer – is available for free download online.

Testimonials

Thank you very much for all your help in supplying our new machine, we can’t wait to get started with it, and the engineer you sent yesterday was great.

Anthony Metcalf, Sales Manager at Allingtons Kia

Radecal were very helpful and easy to deal with when choosing the right CNC machine for us. They assisted with finance and once everything was in place the machine installation and training went like clockwork, highly recommended

Ross Haddow, Display Factory

A great CNC Router at a good price. The service generally was and still is very good. After care has been good with replacement parts being sent out or fixed in good time. It has made massive changes to the way we work and has easily already paid for itself within the year we have had it. We don't know why we didn't get one sooner!!

Clive, Production Manager at RMS Ltd

The machines are fast and reasonably accurate and Daniel the Engineer who installed each machine is a great guy. Radecal have been very supportive and I hope in coming years to be purchasing many machines.

Andy Cox, Pop-Up Designs

The service from Radecal has been excellent, the addition of our new Laser Cutter has opened doors to new business.

Anthony Plastics Ltd

The Laser Cutter service was brilliant, so is the machine and I would certainly purchase more machines in the future.

Isaac Ward, Skipbridge Signs & Graphics

Radecal were amazing! The team were brilliant, from initial enquiry to remote set up of the laser. The PJDT6050 provides us with another string to our bow. Everything we do is designed and manufactured in house and so adding the use of a laser seemed to be a useful addition to our current scope of machinery.

Claire, More Creative Solutions

We received quality service from the delivery of the machine the installation. With the help of Daniel - one of Radecal's experienced engineers - we were up and running in no time. One month later we felt that the machine was constantly busy and therefore not allowing us to meet clients' demands, so we took the plunge and purchased a second machine.

Donna Toomey, Managing Director, Inform Display

Radecal was useful for exchanging and upgrading of equipment. I will use this company in future if the same situation arises, which I'm sure it will.

Sean Molloy, Lumen Christi College

Radecal were very helpful and easy to deal with when choosing the right CNC machine for us. They assisted with finance and once everything was in place the machine installation and training went like clockwork, highly recommended!
